2023 Domaine de la Romanee-Conti La Tache Grand Cru Monopole, Cote de Nuits, France (750ml) Extra Anejo soft and rich in tanninsTASTING NOTES: The emphasis on opulence of the 2023 La Tche is completely consistent with my impression out of barrel, with forward black cherry and mulberry fruit aromas, prominent floral notes, and hints of smoke and spice. The texture is dense, with a tannic line that was lush and supple yet supported the fruit and balanced the acidity seamlessly. The combination of freshness, firm tannin, and fruit draws the wine out to an impossibly long finish.
